The MSI MS-98H5 is an EPIC (Embedded Platform for Industrial Computing) Single Board Computer (SBC) featuring the Intel® Apollo Lake/Apollo Lake-I Series SoC. It includes onboard LPDDR4 memory up to 4GB. The board supports triple independent displays with DVI-D, HDMI™ 1.4 (with DP option), and LVDS interfaces. Networking capabilities include two PoE/GbE LAN ports with RJ-45 connectors compliant with IEEE 802.11af standards. Expansion options consist of one Mini-PCIe slot (full size, with NANO SIM holder) and one M.2 B Key slot (with NANO SIM holder). For storage, it provides SATA 3.0 and M.2 M Key interfaces. Connectivity options include four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, and six COM ports (including two RS-485). It features GPIO, audio support, and optional onboard TPM 2.0 for enhanced security. The board is designed for wide temperature ranges from -40 to 85°C and supports a wide voltage DC-IN range from 12 to 48V. Additionally, it includes ESD protection with Contact 6KV and Air 8KV ratings and supports dual-channel CANBus 2.0B for industrial communication needs.
